![]() ![]() My wireless adapter for the laptop by the way is Atheros Ar9485. Now if anyone can please tell me how I can bring up the VMplayer to get connected to my wireless or detect it atleast so I can detect and get the Wireless interface info, it would be so appreciated. I run the 'iwconfig' code on terminal but only l0 and eth0 show up and not the one that I need (wlan0), aka the wireless interface card required for the entire process of cracking. The guest OS for the VM is linux and my main OS is win7. I have a wireless router and a laptop (Pavillion g7) with wifi enabled and everything going right. I decided to do a project to crack a WPA2 network using reaver as shown in here that person didn't use any wireless adapter, neither did I. I've installed VMware player and backtrack5 and got everything ready to go. I have searched the internet too much all morning and it is getting frustrating. ![]()
